He entered the Egypt Theatre of War (3) 22nd June 1915. His destination was Gallipoli.
The following 2 documents are the medal rolls for the 1914/15 Star and the BWM and Victory Medal pair.
His medals are confirmed on the medal rolls for the Glasgow Yeomanry Dragoons.
William Kennedy attested into the Queen’s Own Royal Glasgow Yeomanry 24th February 1913. He was an 18 year old engineer at the time and was from 24 Paisley Road, Renfrew.
The Casualty Form below reveals that he contracted a fever in late 1915 and was eventually invalided to England on the S.S. Mauretania.
The following images are his service papers which confirm the dates of his service and that that he was discharged unfit.
To date we have not been able to confirm whether he received the Silver War Badge.
