World War One Medals


Here is a list of the latest batch of medals to be uploaded to the inventory.
World War One medals as per the following list.

Hopefully some descendants will be able to find their long lost family medals.
First World War Medal Trio to:

British War Medal and Victory Medal Pairs to:
101639 Pte E C Clarkson RAMC. Eric Clarkson, Royal Army Medical Corps.
117830 Cpl H J Andrews MGC. Henry J Andrews, Machine Gun Corps.
44136 Pte G Evans N Staffs R. Gomer Evans, North Staffordshire Regiment.
42259 Pte J Barrie High L I. John Barrie, Highland Light Infantry. He also served in the Kings Own Scottish Borderers.


1915 Star and Victory Medal, recently reunited –

1556 Pte J F Briscoe RAMC. John Frederick Briscoe served in the Gallipoli Campaign.


First World War 1914-15 Star to:
13181 Gnr L C Plant RFA. Levi Plant entered France 17th July 1915, Royal Field Artillery.
No 1560 Sepoy Noor Zaman 1/69/Punjabis
1444 Pte A Charles Gord Highrs. Medal Index card confirms that Alexander Charles served also as 200129 Pte in the 4th Gordon Highlanders. He entered France 19th February 1915 and was dis-embodied 17th March 1919. He is entitled to a full trio.
SUBDR Raja Khan 1/22 Punjabis. Subadar is the equivalent rank to Lieutenant.
6299 Pte W R Hunt R Berks R. Medal Index card confirms that William R Hunt served in the 8th Royal Berkshire Regiment. He is entitled to a full Trio. He entered France 22nd October 1915.


First World War British War Medal to:
3290 Pte S Williams Manch R. Manchester Regiment. Medal Index card shows that Sidney Wiliams also served as 351457 Private in the Manchester Regiment and served in Theatre 2B – Gallipoli Campaign.
43714 Pte B Snashfold Middx R Middlesex Regiment. His Medal Index Card confirms that Benjamin Snashfold is entitled to a BWM and Victory Medal Pair. He also served as 584684 Labour Corps
M2-147929 Pte S J Thomas ASC (Army Service Corps) His Medal Index Card confirms the entitlement of Stanley J Thomas as being a BWM and Victory Medal Pair
6213 Pte E Coles A Cyc Corps Medal Index card confirms that Evan Coles also served as 689409 Labour Corps as well as serving in the Army Cyclists Corps. He is entitled to a full trio and served in France. He entered France 5th September 1915.
55720 Pte J F Heron L’Pool R He is also entitled to the India General Service Medal Afghanistan NWF Clasp. Medal roll 16693-65
