Oil on Slate Paintings by J Whitehand,

Update

We are really pleased to announce that 3 of these paintings have gone back to the family. They saw their father’s work on the blog.

The following photos are of a group of 6 oil, or acrylic, paintings on slate which are signed J Whitehand.

We think the artist is James, or Jim Whitehand who actually lived and worked in the Cornish Fishing Village of Boscastle.

The paintings were inherited and came from an estate in Falmouth, Cornwall. The owners will be selling the slates and would like to hear from anyone who may be interested. They are varying is size and subject but make very attractive and evocative wall hangings.
