Medal Index Card confirms entitlement and that he was a Sergeant entitled to a Pair.

This medal, The Territorial Force War Medal, was issued to all those serving with the Territorial Force on the 4th August 1914, or those who had completed 4 years service before this date and rejoined on or before 30th September 1914. Only 34,000 medals were awarded making this medal the rarest of all First World War medals by far.

This pair is his full entitlement.

There is a small quantity of ephemera with this item. There are photographs, letters from Harry Nipe to Florrie, his sweetheart. There is a Driving Licence to Doris Nipe who could be his sister. A postcard set from Egypt. There are also 2 Regimental postcards sent from Harry in France. There are several addresses that appear and they are:

15 Hanover Street, Park Lane, Leeds. This would be the family address.

1 Lower Hanover Street, Leeds.

24 Alma Road, Cannonbury.

To find medals with some highly personal ephemera is always very moving.
