First World War Medals to Dedman

Via Flickr:World War One 1914 Mons Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal Trio named to: 42714 Gnr E C Dedman RFA Royal Field Artillery. 36th Royal Field Artillery.

E C Dedman entered France 16th August 1914. He also served as 42714 Military Foot Police and as P/10001 Military Mounted Police.

The question is – should the BWM and Victory be named to him as serving in the Military Mounted Police? The medals as shown all look entirely genuine.
