Medal Index Card confirms that John was entitled to a full Pair consisting of the British War Medal and the Victory for Civilisation Medal.
Alas, we only have the Victory Medal here.
The pair may have been, sadly, split for family reasons.
However one fears that the British War Medal has been melted down by some grubby little man for the silver content. I have even heard that the people melting down British War medals are also selling the clasp.
